First get some good study Bibles. Of course top on my list would be The Macarthur Study Bible, The Reformation Study Bible, ESV Study Bible, and good commantaries.

Second I would suggest you download and listen to great messages on the text you are dedicated to for the next four weeks.

1. This blog exist for the sole purpose of glorifying God through the obedient faithfulness of reading His word on a daily basis.

2. This blog exist to strengthen the faith in fellow believers by establishing a written plan and joining arms in doing what we set out to do.

3. This Blog does not exist as a form of religion to gain Gods approval by "doing" anything to earn our way to heaven.

4. This blog does not exist to create a form of legalism by repetition.

We who are justified by faith through repentance and trust seek to honor God by obeying the God that saved us and do the things He wills for us. We wish to know Him more and to not waste our days in the fog of American Christianity but Biblical declaration of all out war. War against our flesh, war against the devil and war against a world who does not want the light of the gospel shinning into the darkness. But we must press on together no matter the distant between us. We wish to take what we read and apply it by the aiding of the Holy Spirit to a lost and dying world to the gory of God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ. Amen

Different theological backgrounds means different views on scripture. We can differ on secondary issues and still have fellowship. So keep theological debates centered on the text in our reading plan (unless needed to cross reference of course) so as not to veer off to far & be a one issue blog. But Truth is important to dialog about, so communicate effectively.

Stay committed. This is a long haul commitment stretching over two and a half years. But the fruit that will come from this will last the rest of your life. Days you feel overwhelmed focus on only one chapter but the next day wake up and get to it. It will be hard and there will be spiritual attack's as well as our lazy flesh but after just a few weeks you will notice a huge difference is your walk. So stay the course.

Inform each other of progress, prayer needs and confusion on a certain text (which will happen). But with all the different backgrounds here we can labor together and get the meaning out with the Holy Spirits help and just plain hard work.
